Norrortsleden

Norrortsleden is a 16-kilometre long transverse junction between the E4 highway at Häggvik and the E18 highway at Rosenkälla outside of Stockholm. It has been built to improve safety, drastically shorten rush-hour travel times and to improve the conditions for new residential construction.

For Goodtech, Norrortsleden was a unique undertaking encompassing all installations. Everything from cable installation, installation of a treatment system for road water and ventilation in the motorway tunnel, to installation of doors in safety areas. The assignment also included design, installation and commissioning of monitoring and surveillance systems, traffic systems, electronic signs and road barriers.

Norrortsleden was opened for traffic in June of 2008. It has improved connections between the municipalities in northern Stockholm and created a fast and safe highway link. Travel time has been shortened from the previous 45 minutes during rush hour to about 15 minutes. With this project, we have gained even more experience in safe road construction. Our reference list which already includes Södra Länken and the above-mentioned Norrortsleden for example, is now being complemented through our participation in the construction of the Norra Länken link in Stockholm.

Goodtech – a strong partner with wide and specialist expertise, with experience from complex and major infrastructure projects.
