Haparandabanan

There will be both longer and heavier trains along the new Haparandabanan railway line, as well as significantly more trains on the line as compared to today. Improvements to existing marshalling yards and new stations with passing tracks are thus important aspects of the line's increased capacity.

Goodtech's undertaking encompassed track work, electrical power, signalling and telecom for the new Gåsträsken station with passing tracks and the Kalix marshalling yard. Work at Gåsträsken entailed among other things, responsibility for the points system, track laying, electrical installations (such as for lighting, transformers and remote control), as well as signalling and telecom installations.

Included at Kalix was civil works and track work, laying of points, electrical installations, remote control, overhead wires, and signalling and telecom installations.

Goodtech has previously participated in similar projects for stations with passing tracks at Sågbäcken and Bredviken, and also carried out other projects along the Haparandabanan line.
