During 2009, Holmen Enegi built a new and more efficient power plant on the water course Iggesundån that replaced three older plants. The power plant was engineered based on the environmental and cultural conditions adjoining the old mill environment.
Goodtech conducted the project as a comprehensive undertaking regarding electrical and control equipment for the new plant.
The assignment encompassed among other things, project management, construction, commissioning, delivery of substations, control systems, delivery and installation of a new in-house-developed control system and HMI systems based on Simatic PLC systems and with Citect SCADA as the HMI.
The new Iggesund power plant has a new generator with output of 6.2 MVA and is built above ground. The three older power plants were in operation throughout the construction period.
