The process in the Biovac® sewage treatment system is done with the aid of the well-known SBR technology otherwise known as the "active sludge" method. The sewage contains natural bacteria and micro-organisms that are used in the cleaning process. With a controlled supply of oxygen, we achieve a natural biological process that breaks down the pollution in the water. During the treatment process, a small quantity of chemicals is added to remove residual phosphorus before the treated sewage is released.
